Burning Lights
Enrique, a 56-year-old Filipino bosun aboard an ageing bulk carrier crossing the ocean, has been
declared medically unfit for duty. Trapped aboard, Enrique gradually fades from the crew's daily life as extreme heat, sleepless nights, technical malfunctions and metallic reverberations begin to reshape the world around him. Meanwhile, the crew continues the physically demanding work of cleaning the cargo holds and finds moments of joy, humour and connection to endure life aboard.
